LEGO games are nothing new. LEGO Star Wars LEGO Indiana Jones, we've been there and done it quite a few times. Now LEGO style of game has been combined with another ultra-popular license in the form of the fictional literary series, Harry Potter. PSP version of Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 differs from the console versions of the game, but it's still a smooth appearance, solid-playing game. With that said, it is not going to make new fans who are not already in the LEGO game or Harry Potter. We'll just get it right out of the way: If you are not either, than this game will not be for you.

LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 covering the first four books in the Harry Potter series. So are you going to play through the adventure found in the Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire. You'll have to do it in order, for example, you can not jump directly to the Prisoner of Azkaban clip without first getting through the Sorcerer's Stone and the Chamber of Secrets in their entirety. It's ok because there is a story to tell here, albeit a loose one. LEGO Harry Potter tells his namesake's story in much the same way LEGO Star Wars did, in that there is a minimal amount of voice acting (especially in cutscenes), and there is a general assumption that the gamer has experienced the titles are already familiar with the source material.
The gameplay itself is a traditional action fare, but not quite LEGO title you've probably played before. Most of the game's development is through fetch quests, mild combat, puzzle solving, and of co urse the endless collection of LEGO bits known as spikes (of which there will be no shortage of that I had over 500,000 by the time we made it through it first year).
